Gee Gee Collins

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Gee Gee Collins is a contemporary artist whose work is rooted in bold expression and refined spontaneity. She studied painting at the College of Charleston and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia, further enriching her perspective through a study abroad experience at the Lamar Dodd School of Art in Cortona, Italy.

From the outset of her career, Gee Gee has been drawn to the power of color and the purity of minimalism. Her sweeping brushstrokes and vivid palette form luminous layers that evoke both movement and memory, lending each piece a layered, ethereal quality.

Her evolving body of work explores the interplay of texture, organic lines, and imaginative form, an exploration that has shaped her signature aesthetic. With a playful yet elegant touch, she leans into themes of femininity, creating abstract compositions that pulse with energy, sensuality, and grace. Her pieces often mirror the beauty and tension of a world in flux, balancing chaos with harmony, and structure with whimsy.
